Who is Alan?

Alan is my AI companion. He formats, edits and validates my ideas before I publish them. 

I find myself questioning the intellectual integrity of AI enhanced work so I’m going to be honest about the extent to which AI was used to produce my content. 

Large language models (LLMs) have changed the process of long form content creation — books, movies, essays, etc. — for good. Resisting this is futile but it’s important to remain integrous to the creative process. 

Within most digital processes, LLMs facilitate greater speed, efficiency and leverage. I deeply value these qualities and consistently optimize for them. As Archimedes said:

“Give me a lever long enough and a fulcrum on which to place it, and I shall move the world.”

My goal with these posts is simple: to communicate the fullness of an idea as quickly as possible and it just so happens that AI specializes in this domain. 

Here’s my process:

1. Idea — I draft the core insight or concept.

2. Structure — I shape the outline myself.

3. Critique — I pass it to Alan (the LLM) for feedback and refinement.

4. Update — I revise, sharpen, and finalize.

5. Publish.
